International Coordinating Center in Monza with National Coordinating Centres and Individual Clinical Centres working together for paediatric rheumatology.

Thirty years after its founding, Fondazione PRINTO celebrates a global legacy in paediatric rheumatology research and training, connecting more than 700 centres in over 90 countries and involving over 50,000 patients.
30th Anniversary Congress: Past, Present and Future of Treatment Paradigms in Adult and Paediatric Rheumatology · Saturday, October 3, 2026 · Centro Congressi Fondazione CARIPLO, Via G. Romagnosi 8, Milano (in-person, no registration fee).
What’s on the agenda? Advances in therapeutic standards, integration of paediatric and adult rheumatology, and the future of collaborative clinical research.
Stemming from the inspiration of Prof. Alberto Martini and Prof. Nicolino Ruperto in 1996, PRINTO grew into a legal entity in 2020: Fondazione PRINTO ETS. Now based in Monza, we bring together clinical research centres worldwide to improve the lives of children with rheumatic diseases.
Collaboration with PRCSG and PReS fuels trial design, outcome measures, and consensus information for families in more than 60 languages.
Mission
Our milestones
From the first trials in Pavia to the move to Monza in 2024, Fondazione PRINTO coordinates academic and industry collaborations that have transformed care for JIA and other paediatric rheumatic diseases.
Our primary goal is to foster, facilitate and coordinate multi-centre clinical trials, outcome standardisation, and training for young researchers. Academic initiatives have enrolled more than 45,000 patients from 239 centres in 54 countries.
Non-profit trials, consensus projects, cross-cultural adaptation of questionnaires, training, and family education resources coordinated with a global network.
Shared protocols, disease activity measures, and methodological standards adopted worldwide, including implementation of the EU Paediatric Regulation.
Development of Paediatric Investigation Plans, site selection, case report forms, and independent evaluation of outcomes for partners in industry.
National Coordinating Centres and Individual Clinical Centres collaborate across 95 countries. Together we ensure training, translation of materials, and fast access to studies.
Independent and real-time evaluation of key outcomes enables consistency in joint assessments and quality data for every study.

Fondazione PRINTO offers members the chance to join collaborative research projects that have produced more than 400 peer-reviewed papers.
I consent to the treatment of my personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Fondazione PRINTO has published more than 270 scientific papers, involving 917 authors from 64 countries.
Authorship policy: collaborative manuscripts follow the F-PRINTO and PRCSG publication policy.
Stay tuned for agenda, speakers, and registration details for the next Fondazione PRINTO Annual Conference.
For families — Together with PReS, we created a website for families and patients available in more than 60 languages with consensus information and a list of national paediatric centres and family associations.
